Logic and reason go out the window when an attorney starts to appeal to the emotions of a jury who are not your peers.

100 people called for the jury pool, odds are that ONE has a CCW.

Well, it looks like we're possibly moving to Riverside county at the end of the month/beginning of February if everything clears escrow. My range date is 16 Jan. My "but, what about my CCP?" argument wasn't enough to convince my significant other to stay in SB county.

Should I pony up the rest of the fees and carry for 90 days before having to turn in my license or just cut my losses and wait it out in Riverside County?

          Bummer...

It's really up to you, but the bulk of the cost is ahead of you. You've only paid around $150 or so up to now.
The range is $100, and it will be, IIRC, $188 and change at pickup day.

Personally, I wouldn't spend almost $300 just to have the permit for 90 days.

          BUT....

Contact Riverside SD and see what they suggest. While having a permit denied or revoked will have a negative impact on the process there, perhaps having an existing SBC permit will "grease the wheels" and get you an earlier interview date (they are currently out over a year).

Also keep in mind that the SB good cause statement may not be sufficient in Riverside.

Also, you won't be picking up your permit until at least Jan 29... I'm not sure if they would even release it if you have already closed escrow.

See if Riverside County has an abbreviated process for issuing to CCW licensees moving into the county.

Revised interview dates are very common, as more people apply than actually complete the process.

Think of it like waiting for a table at a restaurant.

They typically give you the worst case wait time and call you when this changes...

The surge of apps following the recent terror attacks will likely ebb away, barring new attacks.

The argument they could make is that you were not actually in fear for your life and that you actually didn't intend to shoot but the "Dangerous hair trigger" you installed went off and killed their beloved, loving child. If hot for that hair trigger you installed Junior would still be alive today and therefor his parents should be compensated.

We are talking civil trial where they only need a majority so having a CCW on the Jury might not help you.

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

Mas Ayoob (noted gun author, policeman, expert witness etc.) has written an article which fully addresses this topic...

I knew that was going to happen.

My brother and I both got our email yesterday.

My date got pushed back to the 18th and my brother got the 5th.

                          Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I submitted my application today, when I got to the interview schedule and chose a date (which is not until August) I got an error and when I hit the back button it said my ssn is already in the system. Anyone else have this problem?
