I'm hoping to get the call some time in the next week or so. Employment Verification is done, and at least one of my neighbors already got a door knock from deputies last week. May see you there if they wrap it up in the next few weeks.

Right on. Good to know another CalGunner will be there. What you qualifying with? I am taking my Shield, Beretta M9, and an old S&W Sigma. My shield will be my EDC, the other 2 I am just adding just because I can.

anyone know how important attire is for the interview. i ask because im working on 3rd street and it would be nice to just take a couple hrs off for the interview and return to work only problem is im not sure my dickies and work boots would be appropriate

I wore jeans and a t shirt. However keep in mind it may take more than a couple hours, depending on how long you have to wait for your livescan.

Mine was closer to the 3 hour mark if I remember right. I had to wait quite a while for livescan. I can't remember what time, but I know livescan closes for lunch in the late morning, so depending on your appointment time you could get screwed on time.

You're attire is pretty much irrelevant, other than I would personally advise against wearing anything particularly inflammatory, controversial, or offensive. I wore jeans, work boots, and my Calguns t-shirt.

As mentioned previously they do close for an extended period during lunch time, two full hours if I remember correctly. I want to say its closed from 11:00-13:00, but don't quote me on that. I'm sure you could find out the correct info by calling ahead if your interview time falls near that timeframe. I only waited a few minutes for the scan, but I do remember the Detective having me go get that out of the way first and then come back to their desk to finish the interview because the livescan was about to close for the lunch period and I would otherwise have to wait a long time.

My appointment was at 0930, but the detective who was in charge of my interview was kind enough to let me do the livescan/finger printing first after filling up the papers due to the reason that livescan/finger printing department closes for lunch between 1100-1300. It only takes 10-15 minutes for the livescan but it depends on how many people are waiting to do it. Give and take for livescan and interview I was out of the SBCF after 2 hrs.
Bout the attire, I think it doesn't matter as long as you look decent.
