My appointment was at 10, I showed up at 9 to sign in. I was out by 11:00 after the livescan.

Does the gun chosen have to be on the CA roster or are we allowed to carry off roster as well? I apologize if this has been addressed already.

My interview and live scan were on 4/29. Today 6/9 I had a neighborhood check is that a good sign? How long after neighborhood check was it before you guys heard back for a range date or a denial?

Off roster is not an issue.
It has to be registered to you.
It has to be of the caliber that it is listed as in CLETS, so if you purchased an LC380 and installed an LC9 slide and barrel, it would not be permitted.

I don't know that anyone has indicated whether SSE was a problem or not.

Called to schedule range 12/1. (I had actually cleared background by 11/13, but they slow down during the holidays with vacations and such, my app was still being circulated for signatures.)

Ive been thinking of getting the lc380 and converting to 9mm, guess ill just have to ppt an lc9.

I blew it on a G42.

Was reviewing traffic video with one of the officers and chatting about "mouse" guns.
I commented on how tight the slide is on the P380, and he said that he didn't like his G42 for the same reason.

Halfway home, it hit me like a ton of bricks....
"I HAD A COP IN MY OFFICE WHO DIDN'T LIKE A G42!"

He came in again the next day on another case and I asked about it... he had PPT'd it the night before
He said that I'd get first shot at the next one he doesn't like


I had that same feeling that you get when you're checking some chick out at a party but are worried that you're out-classed, and the next day your buddy says "Hey, she was asking about you while I was taking her to the airport"
