When I added a gun during the process, but after the original inspection I called and they ran the serial number and just said take it to the range but that was when you had to bring your guns to the station.
I'd really just call and ask.
I know the ones on the card you fill out on range day end up being the ones on your permit (since that's what you qualified with) but I don't know if that is compared to your application.

I'd call them to give them a heads up. But when I was there for my interview, someone called in to change their guns, and I overheard Sarah telling him to take his guns to his range day and have the instructors take care of it there.

July was your interview date, or when you called to have the original interview scheduled?

I originally had only my G26 and G19 on my CCW app. During the wait for the range day I picked up a SIG 1911 TACOPS. I called to see how to add the 1911 and was told to just bring it to the range. While at the range they checked it out and told me what's listed on the qualification card will be listed on my CCW...

Wondering what time of day they usually call to tell you you passed the background and schedule range date? Just did interview but want to make sure my phone is on during certain parts of the day.

                  Thanks!

It has been exactly one month since my interview, and I was just contacted by a deputy yesterday that he was out doing my neighborhood check. My only problem is that I am new to the area and don't really know any of my neighbors. I do have some local friends, so I hoping contact with them will help this out. The deputy did mention that contacting people could slow down the process. Not much else I can do make myself known to everyone around me as being a decent person.

No, but seriously, the folks in the department are simply justifying their salaries: IMHO, these are good folks and most likely good detectives, but they're still operating under the old assumption that a permit in California is a privilege, hence all the vetting.

Just relax. It's not the good things they're looking for as much as the bad and as long as no one accuses you of something (whether it's true or not), you should be fine.

Haha, that is what I was thinking. What better way to get to know your neighbors, and the local Sheriff all at one time.

The Deputy that called was very friendly, and easy going. I have a lot of friends in the area from training Jiu Jitsu the last 4 years here. Just not anyone who lives directly on my street. I am sure it will all work out.
