Same here. Just received my renewed card, thank the gods! Turned in my final money orders/video proof right after finishing the range requal....around 9/11. Received new card today 10/17. (GAWD that was a LOOOOOONNGGGGG 5 weeks since I had to fight the urge to call them every day....which I didn't :P)

Just over 5 weeks from final paperwork. This last month of being expired and "naked" was tough!

Be strong and patient folks! And thanks to the great folks at SBCSD for supporting our CCWs!

Question for those on here! I am a current LA county resident! But not for long I will be moving to Rancho Cucamonga within the next couple of months (1-3months) and was wondering the how the process is and just a little more clarification on what I need to have to apply for a CCW and how hard it is to obtain! For example is there a good cause requirement or will a simple for personal protection statement be ok ? Feel free to reply or pm me!

We already have the only reasonable Gun Control we need, It's called the Second Amendment and it's the government it controls.

You need to go to the SBSD CCW site and READ the info there.
                Then come back for clairfaction.

They are working real hard to try to get the back log cleared.
Weapon changes are slowed by DOJ.

Self defense/personal protection is all that is required.

However, they like to see 3-4 sentences about why you feel the need. I know we have a ton of post in this thread, but do yourself a favor read through at least some of it.

                      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

I'm new to the forum and I must say there are a lot of people in here that post very helpful information. Thank you for that! I recently studied up on the CCW process for this county by going to the SBSD CCW site and reading up on all of the processes and FAQ links.

                        My Timeline:

I submit my application on 9/11/2020
I was then after able to immediately schedule my CCW Interview after that.
The earliest date available was 1/12/2021 which is the date I selected.
I have all forms printed and pre-filled out. No signatures because you need to sign in front of a CCW agent. I also don't have the notarization form yet because it can't be older than 30 days old from your Interview date. Just a few helpful points for any new applicants in a similar timeline as me. Study up on the CCW site, it's very helpful. Again, thanks to all who have posted helpful information in this forum as well.
