    Requal

I guess the new law requires us to requalify with our carry guns. Mine is gonna be at West End. When I originally qualified a decade or so ago, we didn't use holsters. We just removed each gun from a case, then followed instructions on when to load magazine, load round in chamber, hold at low ready, then fire.

Rinse and repeat two more times and we were done.

Is that still the case or do I need to bring holsters for all three guns? My guess is not. They don't want to wait for everyone to remove the belts, change holsters, etc.

I did my initial qualification at Prado and no holster needed. Just put my case up on the table and just put my firearm and 2 mags on top of the lid.

          It isn't a new law.
I went into effect almost two years ago.

Just to bring you up-to-speed: AB 2103 modified CA PEN 26165 (effective 1/1/2019) to require published certification standards for CCW Issuance and renewal.

              Best.

I did online classes on 7/10 then submitted paperwork and paid and requal on 8/8. Only change in employment to self employed. Now 3 months later, still waiting. Permit expired 8/15.

From FAQ, I know that we can't call them and ask for the status but is it possible that my paperwork is lost? Thoughts on what I can do beside sit down nicely and wait?

Heard from a friend that Get Loaded in Grand Terrace has ammo and firearms in stock.

Submitted all the paperwork and got finger printed.

I forgot to ask the detective about this but if they accepted my paperwork and the appliaction, does it mean that they accepted my reasoning for requesting the CCW? Or is there more to come?

Super excited to finally get the ball rolling again. thanks for any input.

If they took your money and did the finger prints you are good. Now it's just a waiting game. I think people have been saying that it's a 3-4 month wait right now.

                        Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

                            Hi fellas!
                            New here.
Anyways I had my CCW interview this morning around 9am the detective took
My money and paper work great dude by the way. Unfortunately for me I got the wrong money orders. So i went back And got the correct ones. After that the coolest dude Mike the man took my fingerprints and picture. Very funny and down to earth. Anyways he told me that In about 5 to 6 months I might hear from them. To not call and ask my pending info. Does anyone have an idea what might happen next ? Thanks.

You will wait for the call.

In the meantime, buy any gun you may need.

Buy any ammo you may need.

Go to the range and practice.

Be good and stay out of trouble.

                              And, don't forget to breathe.
