What's the updated process on replacing a gun on your permit? I want to remove a gun from my permit and replace it with another. Do I have to wait til renewal? Thanks in advance!

      Yup. No changes until renewal.

      Yes you can have 2 C&R 03 FFL's; 1 in California and 1 in a different state.

In hindsight the full size 1911 wasn't such a great choice? Well, in my case that's the one I'll be replacing come renewal time.
Buy made in USA whenever possible.

Oh I had no issues concealing the 1911. I just want to replace it with another full size M&P I got.

            Haha...

I never once carried the G26.
I carry the Shield daily, every now and then on the weekends in cool weather I'd carry the G36.

I also bought a Kimber Covert Ultra, considering adding it, but it was no smaller than the G36, and only added one round. It's also not as reliable as the Glocks, or even my full-size Kimber.

Ended up removing both Glocks, replaced the 26 with a Kahr P380 for even BETTER concealment than the Shield (not that the Shield was a problem with button-downs, but it seems like my t-shirts shrink every few weeks ), and going the opposite direction, replaced the G36 with a G30. I figure if I'm going to carry a .45 Glock, it's going to carry a full magazine.

Ya, procedure is simple, when you renew, list all of the guns that you intend to carry. At the counter, they will indicate which guns are being removed and which are being added. They will give you the paperwork for the range, and a list of dates/times the range is available... typically Saturday afternoon and Wednesday evening.
Fill out the range card with the information on the NEW gun(s) only... don't list any current guns that you will continue to carry.
At the range, it's the same process as the initial qualification. The RO signs off and gives you a copy.
There is no charge for the range session.

You may begin carrying your new gun on the date that your renewed permit goes into effect. If you get to the range a couple of weeks before your renewal class, and your class is within a week or two of your expiration date, your permit will probably be available at the end of the class.

DO refer to the renewal class schedule posted a few pages back... they do not process CCW renewals at the counter the same day that they are hosting a renewal class.

First off I want to say sorry that happened.

Secondly, I have no idea. I would hope so long as you did everything the right way that it wouldn't matter. Call the office on Monday and see what they say about modifying your permit now due to the circumstances.

                Good luck.

If the firearm was stored properly and the PD did not cite you for improper storage it should not affect your CCW. You will need to call the CCW division, provide a Police report and a written statement of what happened.
If it was your ONLY listed firearm they will allow you to add a new one. If you have others listed NO modifying until you renew.

What type of "locked container"? Just curious. I want to make sure I don't have the same container and a false sense of security.

My renewal is coming up in june, the paper work says I can fill out the renewal 30 days in advance. Now do I turn the renewal paper work in before my class?

Yes! No renewals are processed the same day as class. That notice should be in the renewal info.

                          30 or 90?

Used to be 90. 30 isn't enough to get into a class.

Just read the 2018 letter that says:
                            2018 CCW RENEWAL SAFETY CLASS
You may call to schedule your renewal class any time after receipt of this letter. Please contact the Employee Resources Division at 909-387-3750. (Class dates and locations are listed on the back of this letter.) Classes may be taken within 90 days of the CCW expiration date. Questions and concerns can be addressed at this time. The completion of renewal paperwork on scheduled class days is strongly discouraged.

You are required to come into the Employee Resources Division to complete renewal paperwork 45 – 90 days prior to the expiration of your CCW permit.
That's what I thought... wondered if they changed something in the last 3 months. It didn't make sense since classes are a minimum of 30 days apart unless you want to drive to Hesperia. My gut reaction though, was "WOW, they REALLY caught up with the backlog!"

Mine was up for renewal last week, but I called in early August and got booked into a class at around 75 days... got my application in right on "day 89" and hit the range 2 weeks later, class the following week.

No, my new permit with the modifications was not available at the end of my class, but it showed up in the mail in plenty of time.
