Does anyone know how the employment verification works if you're an unemployed student?

They skip it. I was unemployed at the time of my interview and my card list "unemployed" as my occupation.

Edit: for you they may list occupation as student?

I wonder if they skip it if the employer doesn't respond back after a certain amount of time

Does anyone know what the average time span is between when you complete the class and when your card is ready to pick up?

Was 18 days for me, from class to card.. but this was several years ago

Last I heard it was usually close to 10 working days.

My interview was on April 3rd, and I think the call on passing the background check came June 8th.

I just got the call. Card is ready to be picked up. Six days from the CCW class to card pick up.

Same thing they told me. They said I'm pretty much good to go and that I passed the residence check. They are just waiting on the DOJ check and I should be getting a call sometime towards the end of Aug.

My interview was May 21st.

Had my interview April 24th and haven't heard anything yet (Thursday was 90 days). They did the res check the Monday after my interview and HR sent the employment form back a few days after.

My work does the same background check and more that they do for the permit. I'm going to wait until Wednesday or so to see if I get a call.
