I can't believe its almost over. I had my issuance appointment on Tuesday. They said my permit should arrive via certified mail within 2 weeks. It seems like it has been such a long time since this process started.
I heard about the lawsuit against the Sheriff when I went to the Gun Rights Policy Conference. It was the first I had heard about it. Thank you to those who brought the suit and those here that have helped me and many others negotiate the quagmire and get us out the other side, tired, poorer (lol) but with our rights intact.

Wes is a nice guy, has great stories that tie into the material, and tries his best to make sure everyone is safe and well informed.

Thanks Wes, Ill be calling for a private lesson sometime in the future.

Thank you Joe. I always appreciate positive comments from good people. I had a great time teaching your class. By the way, you did very well with your sub compact. Good job.

I would have to say with all the military experience I have working with others and weapons, Wes is by far TOP of the Class. He making the learning experience not only very educational but fun. the wife also had a great time and when an instructor can not only teach women but women in a male dominated topic that is a testament to his ability to teach a broad spectrum of people.

        Thank you Wes!

I have a couple of questions. First I had an ex who filed a TRO 15 yrs ago. I have no idea what the outcome was. I didn't go. In fact that was my queue to disappear from her life. Do I answer yes? to the restraining order question.

Also On the fill-able application. there isn't enough space to fill in the convictions and dispositions.(none of them prohibiting All of them over ten yrs ago.) do I add another piece of paper?

I have my appt. at the end of April. and am excited and a little apprehensive.

If it says "in the last 10 years" then no. Otherwise I don't really recall a question that asked about it. Leaning slightly toward disclosure if it's being asked is the right mode though.

Don't be apprehensive. Look at all the reprobates that have gotten theirs already

                The question is worded thus

Are you now, or have you been, under a restraining order(s) from any court?

also what about the additional space problem on the pdf for convictions?

Oh and thanks for responding so quickly Gene.

I would disclose. I would add another piece of paper. Just put it underneath your good cause statement. I had three things on that sheet 1. Good cause 2. additional CCWs I have from other states. 3.My fourth firearm to list.

They won't let you have more than four firearms on your CCW. There is no room for them to type more than four on the standard DOJ license. I had four qualification firearms listed with my FNP-40 listed both as .40 S&W and again listed as .357SIG and when Amber first spotted it she said I'd need to remove one and then I clarified that I was the person who had communicated about this situation via e-mail and that the FNP-40 would be listed just once but with both calibers on one line.

Now if we could only get him to do a defensive handgun course and a Nevada CCW course.

btw, dropped off my final paperwork to Sac Co. yesterday. Said I should get the permit next week sometime.

Finally have my interview appointment tomorrow, after 2+ months of waiting. I have been studying this thread and all info at CalGuns Foundation since I made my appt. I have read all the reviews of the appointments and the whole application process, and I have a few questions.

The short and dry "good cause" statement; "I wish to carry a firearm for self defense and the defense of my family" is all that is needed? Also should it be on a separate piece of paper or directly on the application?

Also does age play a role in their decision making process?

                            Thanks everyone

Sac county requires it on a seperate sheet of paper.

Thank you, I was told that but confused myself.

Anyone have any advice for my appointment tomorrow, or do I need any?
