Yeah I noticed that. It's good too, I can't get into training until mid February...

Had my appt today. Easy process and even friendlier officers. I did notice they turned a few guys away because they didnt submit their documents online. Also, the required 3 days or more prior to the appt. is strictly enforced. No leniency on the document uploads 2 days, 1 day nor hours before your appt. They will not take you even if you have hard copies in your hand. Seems like everything must be submitted online now.

I received livescan approval on 1/17 too. Training and qualification is done. I just have to wait for the system to allow scheduling interviews so I can go in for final sign-off.

I have my appointment on Thursday. I submitted the proof of residency and copy of my license online. Do I just need to bring a printed copy of the application with me?

I'm going to bet that they'll want your ID, too.

What did your email tell you to bring?

Two pieces of proof of residency and a written statement stating why you wish to have a CCW both of which were provided during the online process. I will probably bring copies of everything just to be safe.

I got giddy when I heard we could go to 5 guns - and ditch the laminated paper license - so I went and got a new gun.

The web site was less than precise - so I emailed them and they said to qualify with the new gun, submit the scanned quals and wait for my mod to add the new gun to pre processed. No timelines given.

I uploaded my qual cert and paid my fees on the 17th. 3+ business days the status is still "being assigned to a reviewer". Quals are supposedly (or at least were) only good for 60 days - so I'm hoping to hear more some time soon.

The web site has a few bugs (I've had my CCW for long enough to have renewed and there was still a "you have to bring your DD214 in to renew" note on the web site. They've done my background twice now - they know I have an honorable discharge)

I applaud the Sheriff for adding this new capability and thank the folks in the gun unit for trying so hard to help us all get CCW's who deserve them.

Waiting on the success stories of new modifications before advising others to start theirs. I want to see these new cards!

Any know how early you can renew, in Sac? Friend want to add a couple guns but would rather renew 90 days early instead of doing a new qual now and having to do it again in 3 months to renew.

                            30 days.
If the applicant is RENEWING a Concealed Carry Weapon license in Sacramento County, they may not apply until 30 days before the expiration date listed on their current Concealed Carry Weapon license.

                              Had my appointment canceled yesterday.

No prior notice! Email stated I had not uploaded all needed documents. I was planning on bringing them by hand to the appointment.

This was two days prior to my appointment.

2nd time I've had my appointment canceled!

I have a new appointment now and will be uploading ALL docs prior!

Did you not upload a copy of your DL & 2 items proving residency?

I didn't end up filling out the list of firearms I'd like on the CCW. I don't have what I plan on using for CCW. Hopefully that isn't a problem. I'm going to contact them soon and double check.
