It asks for what is wanted. Traffic school clears it from your record for driving and insurance. It does not undo the citation. List everything.

I'm assuming the same language, in the box on the form, should work. But I'd appreciate any input. Thanks
It's a state-wide form, so has room for every IA's needs.

The "new" form is the old form re-titled to include renewal. The old "Letter of Statement" (seriously dumb term) is not needed, but I scribbled, "I want to renew my CCW to provide for my personal defense and defense of my family," on a piece of paper and took it with me. I also filled out the form with that in the Good Cause section.

      No worries.

List/state EXACTLY what it asks for. No more no less.

Be forthcoming with perhaps negative information. Goes to credibility. Much better to let the Deputy doing the initial intake interview, know up front than for him to find out. He already knows what's up, he or she jut wants to see what you are going to say.

This may or may not apply to you.

Let's say "the charges were dismissed". That arrest will be on your rap sheet FOR EVER.

The only way you will get everything removed from your rap sheet is by court order.

And by court order, as a juvenile, you may have your entire record sealed, or just a specific arrest cycle.

Traffic infractions do not get listed on your rap sheet. Resisting arrest as a result of a traffic in fraction will make it on to your rap sheet.

So even a conviction from 2002? I'm getting mixed feedback from folks.. Friends here from sac that recently got one said to just list what they ask.. Within 5 years. Some say list everything even past 5.

Yeah you're right, I didn't think of it like that.

            Follow the instructions.

If you report within the instruction guidelines, they will not take issue with it.

If you fail to report everything that took place within the guidelines, they may view that as an attempt by you to hide information, and want to dig deeper.

If you don't list the 2002 issue, and they know about it and bring it up, you've still complied with the reporting requirements.

What do they know? Everything. In 2011, they brought up and discussed events from 1974/5, including initial charges, reduced charges and dropped charges. Be ready to acknowledge and accept the stuff in your life.

            Best.

In my interview on march 25th I hadn't listed 2 arrest from 86 and 90 because I was told they had been removed from my records and both had been dismissed. ......wrong the interviewer told me they still show as arrest with dismissed. So a good rule of thumb is to tell them everything! They are looking for good character. The interviewer told me my arrest won't affect my approval because they were so long ago and dismissed. I'm still worried. ......

Great to see they are starting to move again on clearing the scans. Where you able to set your final appt?

I don't see any availability in May. That had been opening up the next month on the first of the previous month (e.g., all of April became available on March 1), but that didn't seem to happen on April 1.

The way things are going, I'll get my Live Scan approval on May 17, and find that they stopped doing issuance appointments until July.
