Just picked up my permit. I was in and out in 5 minutes. Nice DL sized hard cards.

Thanks to all of you for the past motivation to keep forging forward.

I'm curious what the Pre-Approval will do. Does it just help speed up the process?

In the qualification class tomorrow at Ben Clark.
        Anything I'm missing?
4 firearms I'm qualifying with, box of ammo for each, eye/hear pro, paperwork from Live Scan & $100 check.

Should be from 7am-5pm, a little earlier depending on how many guns qualifying with?
        Any tips or tricks?

You'll be shooting 18 rounds per firearm, bring three mags for each if you have them. They'll give you time to reload a mag if you don't.
You'll need a holster for the the firearms (I had one that fit both my G19 &
            G43)
            No live scan paperwork needed
If the range is anything like the March 2nd, you'll enter with only one empty firearm, one empty mag and a holster. Leave others in your vehicle. It might not be the same for you though.

If you get Deputy Coin as the class instructor, enjoy the hijinks.

Same reason here as brian.fitch.77. It'll save you the fee for class/range if denied.

If you've got them bring three mags per gun. If you don't they give you time to reload. If you have a revolver a speed loader will help.

One thing that threw me off at first is you are shooting a black target against a black background making it very hard to see your hits. As long as you're hitting in the black you'll pass.

Let a couple groups go first. It weeds out the one-gun crowd so the rest moves a lot quicker.

Listen to the RO. Do exactly what they say when they say it. Try not to get next to someone shooting their gun for the first time (I had three in my class).

I qualified with three. The first one I was a bit nervous; the rest were fun. Just relax and have a good time. I was done by 3:00.

Stay away from the guys dressed in tactical gear.

Can you share the process or add or amending guns? Cost what steps to take?

Are you aware that the Riverside County Sheriff has a website with specific information available?

Investigator Feliciano was a pleasure to work with and made the entire process very easy.

Picked mine up Thursday, met a guy in the lobby picking up his wife’s. Funny he said that his wife described me as “the little oriental guy that shot tiny groups” and he asked if I remembered her (I did, she shot well).

We finally have a troll! This group has been my support network for the past few years. Finally, someone comes and tries to be a smart *** and not helpful. Most of you have been super helpful in walking members thru the process and encouraging. Some have helped out in the smallest of details. We have a troll. I’ll bet this troll will fire back with a two page citation of the Penal code. We all know a troll when we click their names and see what crap they post on other forums.

Bring 3 mags per gun if you have them I put them in a ziplock bag marked per gun, if not you can load the same one in between
If you have a vest, or plates bring them (not required)

Qualifications went quickly & was a breeze.
                                Now I wait
I have a trip to Utah on Thursday, was hoping to have the permit in by then- but looks like it's about 1.5 weeks after qualifications for pickup, so I will just miss it
