Yeah, I was surprised at both my relatively early appointment date as well as getting the call this soon. Can't wait to pick it up and get some nachos!

This is a great example of how having everything in order helps speed up the process. Bigbear had everything ready from the moment he went in for his interview. Nothing was missing, causing any sort of delay. The smoother we make our applications for the deputies, the faster it will go for everybody.

for the guys that have gone through the process, when you went to your interview did you take one money order for the administration fees totaling $100 and the $95 for DOJ or did you just take the $20 for administration fees and $95 for DOJ? I don't know if I should pay it all at once or bring the remaining $80 at the time of picking up my permit if I get approved.

I believe they didn't take my final $80 until I picked up the permit.

As already stated, just bring the $20 admin deposit, and another for the $95 state fee. You pay the $80 balance when you pick up the issued permit. Make sure the first two are separate MOs, as one goes to RSO and the other to the state.

The remaining 80.00 is to be paid upon approval/pick up of the license, The packet should explain that also.

Today I got the call to pick up my permit! Like Bigbear I had everything in order before my interview and the process was quicker than I anticipated.

Called early Feb 2015 for interview

2/14/15 Qualified with Martinelli & Assoc.

6/22/2015 Interview and lives scan complete

                      10/8/2015 Permit in hand

(my good cause was work related)

It's been a good week for riverside cal gunners. In addition to everyone on this thread the NRA Inland Empire Members Council (IE MC) hosted a meeting with a discussion and training on how to get a Riverside or San Bernardino CCW. That meeting was attended by over 70 people who will be applying and added to the list of carriers in the county. Things are going great!
If you are wondering if you can get a LTC in Riverside County: THE ANSWER IS YES!

What about the long guns on the ccw?? You have not updated me on this subject. And have they made any changes to the shooting qualifications?
