okay for the guys that took their live fire qualification at Firearms Training Associates did they use the standard B27 target, did they score your target? Did they do the same as Ben Clarke 7 yards, 10 yards, 15 yards? just trying to see what I need to prepare for next month.

You can download it. Google it. I don't have link handy but I'm sure it's in this thread somewhere.

Or you can just print everything straight from the website. Then you don't have to drive to the office and hope they have the updated version.

More importantly, you need to call and schedule an appointment if you want to get your permit within a year.

Not the B-27. I don't know what it's called. If I find a pic I'll try and post. I believe it was 7, 10, and 15 yards. Yes, they will count your holes. They are a great outfit. I've taken various classes with them since the CCW. Carbine, shotgun, pistol, combinations of each. Bill Murphy has done a great job training his guys. He's usually there to instruct a bit too.

Take plenty of ammo. They have been known to go well over the required amount. They will have Wolf available for purchase.

UPDATE: Watch the video on their website. The targets can be seen in various scenes. Sorry I'm not being more precise but there are literally hundreds of styles of silhouette targets.

Anybody here been through a renewal lately? How long are those taking? I imagine it should be much shorter than the initial process....

Call 3 months before your expiration and they'll take care of you.

Understand that part. My question is how long is it taking to get your updated card after your renewal interview. The whole 3 months?

It would depend on when they can fit you in. Generally there won't be a substantial wait after re-completing the interview. I guess I don't understand what question you're asking. The deputies have said that if you contact them 3 months before your expiration they'll make sure there isn't a lapse.

You call them 3 months out. Got that. You go in for your interview. Got that. How long AFTER THE INTERVIEW till you have your new card in hand, is what I'm asking.

I asked about renewal when I picked up my initial permit in September. They just said contact them 3 months prior to expiration. One could assume that means they will not allow a lapse unless something has changed in your life like an arrest.

They have the machine that prints the cards in their office. So if you're approved and they call you, the card will be ready.

Maybe someone that's renewed lately has a timeline and will respond with more detail.

I did my interview the first week of July and I am patiently waiting for the call. Anyone here interview around the same time that can provide any updates?
