Speaking to an FFL they mentioned some counties allow SSE pistols on your permit without having to re-register with correct caliber. Is that the case with Riverside County?

That's correct Riverside requires the caliber to be correct. I have 2 on my permit that were SSE'd as.32. I did the pawn / recover to correct the caliber

Inland Jewlery and Loan on magnolia in Riverside will do it. Very helpful. The whole process is about $40.

Twodollardoug, anxious to see your timeline when you can. I'm pretty close to mine, as I had my livescan done on Nov 8th. Just trying to compare to see how close I am.

              Thanks,

For folks living in the City of Murrieta, at the last council meeting the police chief announced that Murrieta will soon begin processing CCW's for their citizens. There will be additional fees involved, but it may be worth it to skip Riverside County's wait list. https://vimeo.com/211739227

Live scan is approximately a 5 month wait.

Curious what the Chief's "good cause" requirement is going to be.

Curious of who told you this and when you heard this? I was there 3 weeks ago and was told that the lifescan processes had moved up and was only taking three to four weeks.

I second this. Deputy Yezzo said some are coming back in weeks and they don't know why.

I've been checking weekly the Livescan number. Still no updates on my status. It's officially been 5 months now.

That number is a joke. It never updates. I called that number every day for a month, said "in process" everytime. Then the CCW unit called me. Two weeks after I picked up my permit, I called the number and it STILL said "in process".
