the last bit
In the end, was it worth it? To me it was, for a few reasons. Being more self reliant for personal and family safety. To help the numbers of permits in the state grow and show there is not blood in the streets because of it. To be more familiar with the process and in turn, how we might go about fixing it. To be able to relate the experience to others and encourage them to do the same if they are interested. Do I still want to change the process? I certainly do, and will continue to work on ways to improve things for the future. Right now, I think the biggest issue is the time frame. Without more personnel dedicated to CCWs, the time frame is just going to get worse. At some point something will have to change. A tightened, more restrictive process to cut down on the number of applicants, an easier process to not require as much resources, or more manpower dedicated to moving things along. With luck, it will be an easier process, along with more people to speed it up.
