I just got done with my initial review. First off, the guys at the CCW unit were great. Those two dudes are funny mofos.

The interview went really well. I messed up and mistakenly forgot to fill out about 40% of the application thinking it was going to be filled by the interviewer. I ended up getting grilled for it, but I was able to finish up in a few minutes.

They took my fingerprints electronically and inked. My Livescan is scheduled this Thursday.

Have an appointment set for JUNE 9th.. Good cause is business related so confident I will be approved but hopefull by then Peruta will come down in our favor anyways.. Will keep updated.

Those in the know tell me not to expect good things from the 9th.

I believe their decisions are amongst the most returned and overturned of all of the circuit courts.

They regularly ignore the law in a quest to implement their unconstitutional agenda.

They should be tarred and feather for many of their decisions...

For those of you that called to make an appointment, were you actually able to speak with the deputies or did you have to leave a message? Just wondering if it is sufficient to leave a message or should I keep trying to get them on the phone so I can get a scheduled interview.

They should call back in a timely manner. They seem to check Voicemail regularly.

They don't answer the phone. You have to leave a message and then they'll call you back.

Got done with my LiveScan yesterday.

I'm going to submit my revised Good Cause statement on Monday.

All that's left is taking the CCW course, submit results, and wait on a decision.

Damn! Well, I'd suggest taking the course and filling out the paperwork before your interview. That way, you just do a livescan and wait after initial interview.

A lot can change in 10 months. I would suggest holding off on taking the course. Also, taking the course before your interview won't speed up the time it takes to get your permit. With the current system the qualification and class isn't what's holding people back.

Just a heads up, FTA is raising the prices of their CCW course from $179 to about $199 soon. So if you have yet to go after submitting your app, now is the best time to reserve a class.
