1) were you notified of your July 15 final approval submission or did you have to inquire?
2) how long did AZ take? I'm 6 wks into that process.

Sadly, an Aug 29 interview request by a buddy resulted in a 3/06/17 interview. Unfortunately, your timeframe sounds consistent with theirs and others.

As for getting bumped, I don't know. I sent an email to OCSD about 2 months before my May interview offering my availability for a sooner appointment (just in case of a last minute cancellation), but I never heard back. And alas, no accelerated wait.

Maybe someone else will offer a silver bullet. But March 30 will arrive eventually. Keep the faith. If I were the king of CCW and had the necessary resources, I'd schedule you for tomorrow.

AZ takes 6 to 8 weeks. Long process. UT took about a month or so in case you're wondering. Why UT you ask? It gives you NV in case you have to go to Vegas.

1. I actually called and asked, they told me i was in the final approval stage.

No it does not. Once they receive the Cert, you'll get an Email for a pickup date.

Just an update. As of October 2016 they are no longer doing Afternoon appointments for interviews. They are cutting their days to 1/2 days for interviews.

I went to pick up my CCW today and they are definitely busy! She said they recommend for renewal to start process about 4-5 month in advance. The CCW staff that helped me said initial interviews keep on coming and they are happy.

What they need to do is make the Permit valid for 5 years or more to reduce the administrative process.
