From what I've read and from what a buddy of mine told me is that they don't update the livescan line when you call it. That's why I'm asking if I should call the department.

Oh. I had no idea that wasn't updated. I've been calling every few days or so. The deputy that did my interview said 8-12 weeks, so if you are at 12 weeks, might as well call. They just did my residency check last night. Interview was on 4/14.

Updated Timeline, 4.5 months (135 days in):

12/21/15 Requested appointment
12/23/15 Received appointment confirmation - scheduled for 5/3/16
4/13/16 Received "new appointment" of 5/3/16 (Same date and time as before )
4/26/16 Received reminder email, I was asked to email back and confirm I was coming
5/3/16 Initial interview, told to proceed with Live Scan. The whole process was just under 30 mins from when I entered the front door to when I walked out.
5/3/16 Live Scan completed
5/17/16 Residency check - Never met in person, only talked to neighbors
7/20/16 Conditional approval email received
TBD Training & Qualification
TBD Email training certification
TBD Final appointment email received
TBD Final appointment and pick-up

I called the ccw department and they said everything came in and they just need my training cert. I sent it in a while back, so I resent it. Can't wait for the final approval and pick up. I was so exited I didn't ask when they got my livescan back.

Two totally different issues. DOJ and FBI results come back within a couple of days, if not instantaneously. The firearms check is what takes longer.

That's a bummer. You'd think that he'd be able to look things over pretty fast, but what do I know.

When I got mine LT was turning them in a week. Maybe there's a backlog. <shrug>

I was just wondering if anyone has any experience mailing in their amendments, and what their turnaround time is. I have emailed them trying to get an appointment, but have yet to hear from them.

I don't think there is, but you're delaying the process by not doing it.

In this post you mention they told you to get it done...that's when you should have. What are you waiting for? If they told you to get it done you're likely fine. Figure you're adding 90 days to the process from the time you do get scanned, so you're just adding time by not getting it done yet.
