Why do amendments take so long for them to process when it's the least amount of paperwork involved? I've been waiting for almost 3 months and there's been no updates.

I emailed the CCW Unit because I thought I made a mistake on it. I received an email this reply:

Our processing time may take longer than usual as we are focusing on the influx of New and Renewal applications received. Once the application is assigned, a member of our staff will be in contact with you via Permitium's automated emails.

For anyone that successfully moved their appointment up, do you have any advice or tips? Mine is two months out in mid-October and my Livescan cleared sooner than expected.

Every time I check the portal for available dates, the soonest is June 2023. Are certain times of the day better or is it just luck/random after someone else cancels or moves their appointment?

My OC timeline so far:

June 29, 2022: applied
November 30, 2022: initial scheduled interview date
July 11, 2022: Livescan submitted
July 7, 2022: FBI cleared
July 11, 2022: CA cleared
August 11, 2022: Firearms cleared
August 11, 2022: received email rescheduling interview for September 29, 2022

I will edit as process evolves.

In addition, I have not purchased firearms in 10 years so in order to proceed, on July 15 I updated my address and one of my guns in the DOJ CFARS system. That took about 20 minutes to clear. I also completed an intrafamilial gift firearm on July 1, 2022. It still has not cleared. If it doesn't clear by September 1, I'll pawn and redeem it as it would be my primary carry gun.

They are definitely shaking it. While the general availability starts on 06/14/2023, there are quite a few spots open for grabs in the prior months. Then again, it's still in 2023, the earliest is on 01/27

Was your interview always scheduled for 8/3?

When I applied on June 22nd my original interview date was September 29, 2022. A couple days later (the last week of June) I received an email saying that my interview date had been moved up to September 13, 2022. The first week of July my interview date was again moved up to August 3, 2022.

On the form the operator wrote and ATI number at the bottom of the page. Go to this website and put in the ATI number and you D.O.B.
