Just spoke to an employee at the unit over the phone to process payment for my renewal license. She told me that both the laminated card and paper CCWs will be mailed to me and that there will be no need to take a new picture. I was also told that I will use my current license until it expires in May, then shred the license and then start carrying the renewal card.

Update 3/26: Received my renewal licenses with receipt from the OCSD.

I can't seem to find on the OCSD CCW website, but are we under a specific time frame to remove a <now sold> pistol from our CCW? I sold a few guns this week that were on my ccw and not sure if I need to email them or make an amendment immediately. I'd rather get to it once I add a pistol too.

1/30 Case Assigned
2/5 - 2/28 Back and forth asking for additional documents, clarification, etc.
2/28 Case worker submitted for approval
3/29 Received both automated phone call and text indicating approval and to expect phone call for payment to be done 3/30 - 3/31
4/02 Received permit via mail

I never heard of that requirement as well. About two months ago I sold a Kahr PM9 that was on my license. The same night I went through the amendment process and uploaded the DROS sheet indicating I am the seller of said firearm. It took about 3 weeks to get my approval due to their backup, but I was never told I was out of policy.

NO. Do not advise people to contact OCSD with such questions. This is exactly why some people were told not to carry standard capacity mag, because, like morons, they decided to ask someone something they didnt need permission to do.

wtf is it with people who feel some need to think up questions and then ask about things like this? Guaranteed to result in restrictive rulings.

I don't disagree with you at all. However, if someone feels they need to see something on paper, only the unit can provide it. Not me.

Does anyone know of a trainer that can do a renewal? I have everything in with OCSD except a renewal training cert. I have a little bit of time but if someone is still running renewals, I would like to get it done.

I heard from Greg Block that he is still holding training, as is Evan's. I have not heard from Firearms Training Associates. Those are the three that I reached out to.

Just posting my renewal timeline since I'm actually kind of surprised. I've been hearing 90 to 120 days but It took less than 2 weeks.
Submitted application on 3/24
Got approval call 4/3
They'll be sending it my mail once I pay.
Just make sure you have everything ready.
