I sent in my DOCS on 10/10 I got a text today to call the CCW office. I called and spoke to a really helpful officer. Was accommodating on what date and time. Im picking up on 11/6. I did ask when the renewal period starts and the officer said it's 2 years from the date you pick up. So no need to pick up much earlier than your expiration date.

You have to surrender your old permit when you pick up your renewal permit and take a new photograph as well.

They dont reply back or confirm, you can call and ask if they can confirm, I was wondering the same and called they check in the computer and verified that had received the training docs.

Hi everyone,
it’s been a week since I emailed my training completion documents as instructed by the email. The email said to just reply back to their proceed to training email with the documents.

should I have received a confirmation from them by this point? I don’t see any other instructions on the email that said to do anything else.

Finally contacted by LASD! Submitted my application Feb 2023 and got a call and an email last week. According to the deputy I still have another 4-5 months. Unreal!

After 845 days or 2 years, 3 months, and 23 days, it finally happened.

It looked like there were probably about 6 others there picking up as well. Don't give up hope!

It was completely unexpected. I didn't think I would hear anything until after the 1st of the year. According to the deputy I spoke with, they recently added a few people to expedite applications.

03/16/23 - Application accepted and entered to system.
11/19/24 - Received interview call
- Live Scan, CA & FBI Completed [$153]
11/20/24 - Submitted All Required Documents
11/21/24 - Confirmation Email That Documents Are Received
12/07/24 - Submitted Updated Required Document

We submitted about the same time, and got the call about the same time as well. We're almost there. Did you manage to submit all your documents and did the live scan already?

I did. My live scan was done when I submitted my application. According to last last email from LASD, it will be 2-3 months before receiving, I'm guessing, the approval to proceed for training. It's hard to believe it's almost 2 years since starting this.

I summited my training docs on 10-27-24, text to call for pickup was on 11-15-24.

The pick up times is around 60 to 90 days for initial permits for L.A.S.D. , so you should be getting the pick up call/date between mid to late December.

I submitted back in early 2023, recently got the call that application was going to be reviewed. Has anything changed in terms of qualifications or shooting standards with LASD or under the new SB 2 bill or whatever??

I know we now have to go 16 hours of class time for initial from when i applied, it was only 8 hours...but was curious if any other changes happened as well.
