        Hi all, quick question.

I recently completed my CCW training (10/13) after receiving the "proceed to training" email from LASD and am now waiting for the pickup call. However, I will be moving within LA County by the end of the year, to a city that has its own CCW procedure.

I've searched everywhere, but found conflicting information - does LASD allow me to keep my CCW for 90 days or for the full duration of its validity (and I just have to renew/start over from the new city)? Some sources say I can keep it for the full duration since I'm still in LA County, while others say I'll need to reapply with the new city's procedure and my LASD permit will no longer be valid after 90 days.

For context, I applied for CCW with LASD in September 2022, so it's frustrating to finally get it and have to move right away..

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

You are required to notify the LASD CCW unit within 10 days of moving. Send an email with your new address. As long as your new address is in LA County, your CCW will be good for 2 years and you will renew with them.

That's great news. Thank you for your insight - I really appreciate it. Would you mind sharing where you found this information? I spent a good hour or two searching without any luck.

I picked up my renewal permit this week. Around two or three others were picking up as well. Unfortunately this site is dying slowly, so I don’t think a lot of people will be posting much anytime soon.

It's one of the conditions you sign for when you pick up your permit.

Also, I think there might have been a slow down during the month of September when they had to re-call all the people that received their permits earlier this year so that they could swap their 'green cards' with the DOJ approved 'blue cards'. Looks like they are picking back up though and people are getting calls.

                                Hi everyone,
it’s been a week since I emailed my training completion documents as instructed by the email. The email said to just reply back to their proceed to training email with the documents.

should I have received a confirmation from them by this point? I don’t see any other instructions on the email that said to do anything else.

                                thanks
