According to another member in the LASD renewal forum, he spoke to a deputy at the CCW Unit today and they are issuing permits again. She said the update is complete. They have a backlog of permits to schedule pick up, but at least it sounds like they are back up and running. Hoping for my call soon.

My app, and others was entered into their system during the month of NOV 2022. Our apps are still being worked on.

Perhaps they are working on both months. I don't know. At any rate....they are not finished with the Nov 2022 apps. Hence I have not been issued or even received a "PTT" email. If someone from the CCW unit told you that they are working on Dec 22 apps maybe they are but, that's not the complete picture.

I went through this math a while back and it goes along with everything else in the process, none of it makes sense. I remember talking to the CCW unit one time who told me they were working on apps from the month mine was input and I didnt get an interview call for 2 months.

Anything the CCW unit says take with a grain of salt and process it as "best case scenario."

So, one thing I have done is contacted my County Supervisor and complained, a lot, about the wait times.

The Board of Supervisors wanted to control the Sheriff, so maybe they need to force him to assign more Deputies to the CCW unit.

These elected individuals who we elect need to work for us, The People.

Send an email to you County Supervisor, explain your wait time and tell them how ridiculous it is.

someone on the calguns' facebook page informed me that they picked up their permit yesterday. their appt had previously been canceled.
