Using a gun in that situation would have made it much worse. The driver did the right thing. Use his car to escape from a horrible situation.I think you guys are all a bunch of paranoid nutcases. No one needs to carry a gun in public. What did that CA Dem politician say, take up karate?

Hey All,
I've been off and on following this forum for a few months now, but never bothered before to chime in. However the information, especially about the wait times has been really reassuring to me so that I don't feel alone. I dropped off my completed app at my local Sheriff station with check first week of June. I haven't heard a peep since in any way. I hope that changes early in the new year, along with some of my colleagues who applied as well little later than me. Either way, the information I've been able to get from reading this thread has been great and I thank you all for it. Good luck everyone, and Happy New Year as well!Comment

With the prolonged wait times my fear is that I will get right up to being issued and then it will be election time and if AV does not winn then who knows what will happen with all the pending applications. And nothing sez that the existing ones couldn't be cancelled. This is why its important that AV is re-elected.

Look at the Permit itself.
My letter was dated 12/9, but the issue date and pick-up dates were both 12/15 and the expiration date is 12/15/23.4/19/21 applied, 8/31 Whittier interview.
11/17 PTT email, docs sent 11/18
12/13 call for pick up, picked up 12/15/21.
Utah CCW since March 2018 and Arizona since June 2022
Mailed renewal 5/8/23, online 11/6, interview 11/15
11/26 PTT and docs submitted, 11/29 approved
