Yes female office. There was no-one else in the waiting area while I waited, when I left there was someone there. But I was surprised it was not a bit busier like it was on interview day.

It seems like they do not want to expedite things. So many things could be online and automated, and possible done by LASD Volunteers.

If you have questions that cant be answered online, I would email the ccw unit. My livescan firearm portion finally completed and I sent an email to the ccw unit thanking them for a previous question they answered. In the email, I notified them that I was now waiting on my proceed to training email. They sent me that email as a response. I replied to the email with the applicable docs and got the received documents email.

If you guys think 8 or 9.5 weeks is a long time to wait to get "THE CALL" well I got news for you. I emailed my document on Aug 28 and got the "EMAIL RECEIVE" on Sept 1, got the "THE CALL" from an unknown number Nov 28, for pickup on Dec 1.

YES! that is roughly 14 weeks my fellow calguners. I'm just glad is finally over.

That is ridiculous and unacceptable especially when people are getting the call in 3 weeks to 4 weeks. Somebody is dropping the ball.

Right. I had a correction made on my background because of DOJ error. So I am guessing they took their sweet time investigating and clearing it.

I reached out via portal this week, live scans were completed on 9/17, and they said my live scans + file are still pending review.

My sister called the ccw unit to inquire about the status of her application. We applied at the same time and I picked up mine over a month ago. She received her training email over 5 weeks ago. The deputy told her all applications are now on hold until the new sheriff takes office and they have 12,000 applications backlogged. She apologized for the delay and said there was nothing they could do. For those waiting for that final call, it might be awhile.

I called my friend that I helped with the process. CCW license was picked up today. 5 others picked up as well. Also 7 being interviewed. I would email the CCW thru the portal.

I will have her try that. I was hoping it was misinformation. I guess we will see if others get the call this week or next to pick up. Not sure why the sheriff would have told her that, unless it just started today? She was told they had to stop issuing until new letter head with the new sheriff's name was created.
