I reached out via portal this week, live scans were completed on 9/17, and they said my live scans + file are still pending review.

I am in the same boat as you. I live scanned on 10/03/22. Cleared FBI and CA on 10/04/22. Cleared Firearms on 10/06/22, and interviewed on the same day 10/06/22. I sent an email last week and received the same message, that you received. "Your file and live scan returns are pending review, we will contact you once the review is complete".

Well, I guess they finally were able to open my current utility bill and I received my proceed to training email this morning!!

Will see how long it takes from here. Hopefully, I do not have the same problem with my training certificate. LOL

If you guys think 8 or 9.5 weeks is a long time to wait to get "THE CALL" well I got news for you. I emailed my document on Aug 28 and got the "EMAIL RECEIVE" on Sept 1, got the "THE CALL" from an unknown number Nov 28, for pickup on Dec 1.

YES! that is roughly 14 weeks my fellow calguners. I'm just glad is finally over.

Holy crap! That's the longest I've seen. I definitely think someone dropped the ball with your file or "misplaced it"

Hmm. Her training docs were received Oct 25th, but they said she was submitted for final review on Nov 5th. Will update if she hears anything in next couple weeks!

Definitely waiting for Luna to come in to see if he is going to change anything would be my guess

I was in a similar scenario. Moved like 3 weeks before my interview, no new ID, bill or anything. My deputy told me to bring a change of address form from USPS and DMV that it has been submitted, as well as a lease (which they don't accept anymore)

For some of you old timers in here, just happy to report that I got my "proceed to training". A VERY long journey but after wandering the path many times, finally nearing the end. At this point, for most of you, it's just a waiting game. Imagine the days of the good cause nonsense! GL and gg.

I called the CCW unit and they let me know I will probably get a call this week or next week which would put my timeline for “the call” at 7-8 weeks. They told me that my training paperwork was acknowledged as received on 10/20 and submitted for “final review and signature at the beginning of November and they are just waiting for a final signature before calling me.

I'm on the same boat.. although I received the confirmed receipt e-mail on 11/1/22. Hope we'll both get the call this week!

LAPD CCW TIMELINE (UNDER BRUEN STANDARD)"

6/23/22: Supreme Court Bruen Decision came out. Called LAPD for appointment. (mailed my LA County Sheriff's app same day; still have not heard a word of acknowledgment from LA Sheriff. Was seeing which agency was faster)

10/5/22: LAPD interview and submitted revised application (no good cause needed. I also had a speeding ticket that I took care of with traffic school in 2020 but the interviewer did not mention it; also I listed my 15 non resident CCWs, the interview saw it but did not say anything either). Interviewer said I was the First to interview under the new standard. Live scan submission same afternoon on way home I found a place that does it.

10/9/22: 8-hr training class completed (technically I should have waited until I was approved but took a risk to get it out of the way and get the CCW faster)

12/6/22: LAPD officer called me and said I was "approved" and now I can take the CCW course. I said I took it already. She said email me the certificate. I did.

Now I wait for LAPD to call me to come in and pick up my CCW and pay the rest of the fee.

Nice work. 6 months is pretty fast compared to LASD. I was just under 12 months and that was fast.
