I just gave up after 18 months long waiting, even all live scans, interview and training were completed 6 months ago. every time I emailed to ccw_unit, they replied with “your case is still pending to review, will contact”. They don’t say what’s wrong with my case. I know I am big loser. But, I still vote for our Sheriff Alex. I would stick with all other CCWs for 37 states. Good Luck folks

Anyone have advice for a pending firearms portion of livescan when the livescan was taken on 6/28? Seeing all of these ppl post that they have completed livescans after completing them in August has me confused. I dont see why livescans for ppl can take a few days or weeks while others are taking 3-4 months. When I had an issue, I was mailed a response. I have yet to receive anything from the DOJ this time.
      6/4/2021 app submitted
      12/16/2021 Interview
      6/21/2022 2nd Livescan submitted
      6/28/2022 FBI clear
      7/1/2022 CA clear
7/31/2022 8 hr training CCW course
      11/14/2022 Firearms clear
      11/30/2022 Proceed To Training Email
      11/30/2022 Training confirmation received

Thanks for the reassurance, I hope so!

Ugh, can't wait for that call! I saw that 213 number and thought THIS IS IT!! But not quite. Hope it's all going to be ok

Apply to your local PD!!! My thought though, is maybe one of your livescans haven't cleared yet? Did you receive the training email?

I did a search in this thread to no avail. Any recommendations for ccw training in LA? Completed all three livescans, decided to get my training asap. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I did mine in Stanton with Sentri Institute. I know it's not Los Angeles but worth looking up. You can book on their website. You do the class portion online and go to FT3 Tactical for the shooting proficiency portion. Price was very competitive.

live scans completed in August 2021, Interview and training completed in April 2022, everything turned in what LASD asked for. They acknowledged that they received everything. What else do I need to turn in? my income? I have no criminal records, no DUIs, no bad things.. NaDA. I gave up.. don’t want to apply in city PD since I live in LASD territory for 28 years.

I did mine with Shootsafe Learning in Lomita. Edmund Tan is the instructor and a good guy. Does weekend classes. For the shooting part, he conducts that at A Place to Shoot out by six flags

The ATI number is assigned to you by the person doing the Livescan. You get DL the form form the LASD CCW page.
