Got my email to go get certification/training. Thursday last week.

Applied August 2021.
Interview Feb 2022 - was advised I would NOT be granted a permit due to NO good cause by Deputy, but was given instructions to go for Live Scan
Scotus decides on NY vs Bruen June 2022 (light bulb moment)
Emailed CCW Unit to retrieve my Live Scan details June 2022, new deputy replied back immediately, on a Sunday, with info
Went for Live Scan June 2022
Live Scan Passed August 2022
Sent to Training October 2022

That's nice you got a response. I was waiting to be told to go to live scan from my interviewing deputy (pre Bruen decision), and after Bruen I emailed asking if I should go. Never got a response, so did it anyways

The LASD LiveScan request available online at the CCW website shows their address for snail mail address in the Contributing Agency Information section right near the top.

Nothing more for you to do at this time.

On page 10 there is a section "Please provide any additional information that should be considered in evaluating your moral character."

Is this necessary or better to leave it blank?

When they scanned your prints it has the routing information entered by the technician that was on the Livescan form supplied by LASD. That code tells the system to send the results to LASD.

Has anyone had a change in situation since bruen? My reason for ccw has changed but my risk exposure is no longer because of the place i used to work but now it's because I'll be every where, risk exposure now goes from the people in one area to multiple areas now due to work. Just wondering if anyone has gone through this before my interview

Since Bruen they do not ask or require.

Hmm I know they review, hope they just gloss over the stuff at best cause I only need to change the place I work then
