So I went today to pick up, and there's a typo on there. The deputy said she was unable to change it, since it's in their system, but my Sig P232 .380 is listed on the permit as SIG P262 9MM. Correct serial number, but she said "Thats how it was entered, so I can't change it." But my CCW application, and firing range certs all have the correct data in there.

          Pretty strange, right?

Hope you have two other guns on the permit.

Yeah I have two others. I also sent a message to CAFRS I guess to resolve that. I mean the gun they listed doesn't exist.

I was wondering whether they might be deliberately going slow on CCW applications?

                    Applying for LA County CCW

                    Hey guys,

I am new to this forum. I will be planning on applying for my CCW in LA County.
Any tips in filling out the application? Mail or drop off at the station? I know its a long process and I am willing to wait. Any advice or tips will be helpful.

                    Thank you
                    EJ

First you must read this thread which will tell you what you need to know. https://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/...d.php?t=352761
It's basically "Recreational Related Risks" or better for the good cause for LA County. Other applicants reported dropping off their apps at the station.

I'm amazed they issued a permit with info different from your training cert. This could potentially cause a problem if an LEO or prosecutor, god forbid, decides he wants to create a problem for you. This will also be a problem at renewal. I'm not an expert on CFARS, but I have the impression it is rare to hear back from them on a question/issue you initiate. It's hard to tell what she means about she can't change it. They had no problem doing so for me in San Diego. This is such a rare event I don't want to clog up the forum here, but if you want more info PM me and I'll describe my situation and solution.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

The more time I spend on this forum, the more sense kcbrown makes.

Apply then forget about it. That’s my best advice.
