I spoke to the lady who answered the phone and I get the feeling it's all walk in. She also told me no holster needed, but I might bring one just in case. I haven't gotten my training email yet, but my timeline is pretty close to yours.

I asked my friends. They said to get there early, park in the rear or side of the building. They will open the doors, have a seat in the classroom. They will collect the $$$ when you go to the range. They brought water and snacks, said they didn't see a machine, but doesn't mean there isn't any.
They said they did not need a holster, make sure if it's a semi auto the action is open, if revolver have the cylinder open. They said for 2 guns, they bought the range ammo from them, target, and class, it was $300 a piece. You have to fire any ammo you bought there at their range, can't leave with any, which they thought was odd.

mine was 195 to take the class and qual 3 guns, Bring your own ammo, but yes, it looks like they included ammo in the cost. Write down your serial numbers before you go

I'm surprised that passes muster with LASD as that is contrary to their requirements of approved training. At the very least, they require the instructor to witness the unloading of the firearm during the course of fire.

Applied in July 2021, I had done the training at the same time.
Interview March 2022
Proceed to training Sept. 2022 (have to do it again because it has been over one year). They say up to 4 weeks to pick up but I am guessing much longer.

Easing up in a sense that if there's a local PD that you live in, you need to apply with them. They are no longer accepting applications for LA City for instance.

Just received the call for interview and I’m all set for October. For context, my app was submitted and MO was cashed in December, putting me in a 8.5 month timeframe from submission to interview. Hope to see my other December folks get called soon.
