Does anyone have confirmed news on how LASD (post-Bruen) is handling applications that were already in the pipeline? I have a friend of mine who had his initial interview in March and was asked to submit more info. He's now having a hard time getting anyone to respond. Have any changes been announced? I've been out of the CCW picture since getting issued.

It's literally 300 pages with almost 13,000 posts. How is anyone supposed to find what they are looking for? The initial post doesn't even cover everything either.

Has any one had issues with their live scan? I went in for my live scan back on 4/20/22, the FBI portion was cleared same day, the CA portion was cleared on 5/6, and have been patiently waiting for the firearms portion. All DOJ tells me is to check the status of the live scan but doesn't offer any other information. I shouldn't have any issues pass this and had just recently passed on for a COE back on 3/19/22. Any idea what might be holding this up?

They didn't call my employer but they did ask for a letter from my supervisor on a company letterhead explaining what I do in the company and specifically stating that I am on call 24/7. I was able to get the letter without explaining much to my supervisor. This pretty much sealed the deal for me.

Please keep in mind that clock on your livescan started running down. IIRC, they are valid for about 6 months, then you have to make a new one

I just interviewed last week. I did my livescan and training in early July 2021. They accepted my livescan, however told me my training had just expired. She said training was good for one year.

When did you submit your application? Previous poster submitted it and then immediately went and did the scan. I doubt that LASD would be able to get to him within 6 months, depending how big of a paper tsunami they are under

I submitted my application in early July 2021. They cashed my check in early September. Soon after submitting my application I did the livescan and training. I followed the advice of my CCW trainer. I should have waited.
