Anyone mind reviewing my GC before I send it in?

I currently run a small business, (name of business and business license #), that deals in expensive guitars and musical equipment that can cost several thousand dollars. I use websites such as Reverb, Craigslist, OfferUp, and Facebook Marketplace to purchase and sell. Through these websites I meet people in person to exchange guitars for cash and I feel that my life may be at risk as I will be meeting with a stranger in a predetermined location with a known amount of cash/goods on me. In running my business I often meet with people all over Southern California and worry that I may be in a location that may not have cell reception or response times that are fast enough to stop an imminent threat to my life.

I am also a recreational target shooter and often shoot at Angeles Shooting Range where there is poor reception due to it's location in a remote area of Angeles National Forest. I fear that I may be targeted and my firearms stolen as they are valuable to criminals.

I often assist my elderly and disabled neighbors by helping them with rides to banks, grocery stores, and doctors appointments when necessary. I fear that they or I may be targeted due to their inability to protect themselves due to their age or ailments, the medication that they may have on their person, or cash and jewelry that they may be carrying.

I would stick to the first paragrapgh only and not even mention the rest. Recreational shooting & helping out your elderly neighbors is optional where your employment is your way of life and how you put food on the table. Just to note, anytime you mention money in your GC the investigator will ask for proof of deposits. Be truthful and be prepared to show proof for ANYTHING you list on your GC. Good luck and by the looks of it, you have a good shot!

Very nice! If all goes well, you should receive an email to proceed training in about a week or two judging that you were given the okay verbally or via email to do the livescan. Depending on your GC, they might ask for additional documents before sending you the email for training.

From what we've seen on here, once you receive the email for the training you are pretty much approved and good to go.

Well fellas, it's official. I got the denial letter. Light green is a no go in LA County.

Bummed but also glad that this is over.

Unfortunately, I cannot in good faith vote for Villanueva moving forward and will advise those around me to research their vote further as well. His promise of "just give him a reason why" is inconsistent and intentionally vague. There are known people who were issued for the exact good cause I gave. Villanueva denied a policy change within the CCW Unit. This is clearly untrue. Turns out some of the older members who were adamant in this change, last fall, were right after all.

It's ultimately easy to approve the person/process/situation when you get what you want, even if it takes over a year. So, it is easy to say "it was worth the wait" or "good things come to those that wait patiently". Different story when it goes the other way. That said, I just hope people who do NOT have a business or employment related good cause do not waste their time or money. The experiment is over - light green is no longer accepted!
Sorry you got denied, but you are wrong about voting against Villanueva. He is the only chance for pro-CCW in LA County. It is him or an anti-CCW sheriff. The math just does not work for another pro-CCW candidate to win. And Villanueva said in a recent townhall that he will comply with a ruling by the Supreme Court disallowing good cause denials.
