Hey Spaceship, they are just longer accepting recreational GC's as they were early last year. You either have to be really convincing with documentation to back it up or craft a persuasive statement. It does matter on the investigator that is handling your case. Some may really want to help you and some may just not really care.

IMO it is just wrong to have someone wait for over a year just to be denied. They should deny you off the bat at your initial interview or talk to you in a way to edit your GC for it to be acceptable.

This is LA after all, one of the most liberal counties in the country. We shouldn't have to go through the hoops like this just to excercise our rights....

6/26/21 - Walked in Application - Filed & Paid for CCW
7/24/21 - Check Cashed
4/14/22 - Call for CCW Appointment
4/15/22 - CCW Appointment @ 7:00 AM
4/15/22 - live scan completed

05/01/2022 UPDATE :

4/15/22 - CA Completed
4/15/22 - FBI Completed

Hello everyone , I have been watching this thread from the sidelines for a while now, I received my proceed with fire arms training and can only get to doing it this Sunday. May 8th. I am reading that after submitting the fire arms training certificate it takes roughly 4 weeks for the pick up call for the permit. In 4 weeks sherif Alex will be up for re-election, if he is not re-elected will I still be issued my permit this far in the process ? Any replies and info would be great !! Thanks In advance

From the time your live scan cleared to the point of the email training , how long was that?
