Cheer up, brother. It will come. I have been telling my brother the same thing since April 9th. It seems like LASD is not working the apps in order. Some members are getting calls even their apps were submitted after my brothers' apps. Some investigators are working much faster than others and some may take extra time to REALLY look into each individual apps. Hey, they took your $30s and they have to review your apps. It will come.

Okay, the daily countdown begins. 11 hours and 30 mins till the end of the week notification. Hope April 1st and 2nd weeks will be getting their calls today.

Had my interview today. ... Interestingly, she said only five officers in the whole county (her included) are conducting the interviews. I was under the impression they had brought on a lot more lately. She said they are absolutely swamped and she expects the waiting time will continue to grow as they make their way through the applicants.

The process from interview to permit issuance is taking about 3 months now, in large part because the live scan is taking so much longer to process lately.

i went for my interview today and talking to the deputy sheriff they only have seven people doing this and they are overwhelmed with application.

IIRC when AV first liberalized last summer they went from 1 to 3 officers.

If they’ve been flooded at Light Green, imagine the stampede if they went Dark Green.

I think we need to wait for Monday for the Serg. to review and approve for the deputies working to make calls Monday - Wednesday for interviews the following week.

This is good. Villaneueva will begin to realize, if he hasn't already, that every permit he issues is worth several votes (i.e., friends and family of the permittee). I doubt he's ever experienced so much positive attention from citizens before (most people come to complain about law enforcement). If he gives out 25,000 permits (like OC), that can translate to an advantage at the ballot box (AV only won by 141,500 votes last election). I know, it doesn't seem like there's a chance of that number of permits. But just wait until AV figures out the math. You know he talks to neighboring sheriffs.

Lord knows that my sheriff is the one local election I tell all of my friends and family to vote for.

Odds are, an anti-CCW candidate will emerge to challenge AV in the next election. One did in OC. He got trounced. And this was for a vacant position (the under-sheriff in charge of CCW's, Don Barnes, ran for Sheriff when Sandra Hutchens retired). The reality is, anti-gunners, mutts that they are, will never be as fired up as pro-gunners are. Even in LA. (keep in mind that Hillary won OC in 2016. It's unfortunately not the conservative bastion it once was).

well, it's been more than 30 days since training docs are submitted

I guess I'm not the only one 30+ days out after training certs are submitted.

livescan done right after interview.
training done within a week after interview.
about a month later, lasd asked for more docs for my GC which i supplied what i could on same day.
another month has been passed since.
