If you were given the go to do the livescan during your interview or by email you should be notified about 1-2 weeks after livescan cearing to do your training.

BUT if the unit requests more information from you, the process may be longer. It's case by case.

I did not do training early. I waited for the proceed to training email and completed it the following weekend. It took over 3 weeks after turning in training certificate for pick up.

I don't believe you have to notify them but I am not a lawyer. You should maybe contact them if you're concerned.

At least you got your training email, right? I did not. However, I submitted my training early (like a dummy) so I wouldn't know if it will be requested or not until it comes time for a straight up issue or denial.

I did get a request for additional docs, twice. One at the interview and one exactly one month later.

No. But in your next renewal the DOJ app will have you list them.

So I got a phone call from 213 932 1866 today and was at work and left my phone at my station while I was orienting a new nurse. I tried calling back and got a voice.ail not identifying themselves as LASD, but I left a generic message. Does this number look familiar to anyone?

Most likely a scam call. They would have identified themselves as LASD in the voicemail if it was actually LASD. Also, their calls usually come from a private/unknown number.

When I got my approval call for San Diego it came from a 323 number.
