Looks like you did the training & livescan early. Did the deputy make a comment about you not waiting for them to give you the go to proceed?

I did mine early too (1-2 weeks before interview). Deputy (Triay) was fine with it. She asked if I had already done livescan and training. I sad yes. She asked if I had the training docs with me and if I was going to add any other firearms. I told her that I don't have the docs with my but wanted to add another weapon. She said that's fine you can submit it when I request it. I don't think they mind it unless you do livescan and training like 6 months before your interview date lol

I'm still waiting and I'm a month ahead of you...

If it's any consolation, 1 of the 2 friends of mine received her call last Thursday. She applied the second week of June. Her husband, who applied at the same time is still waiting for a call.

It all depends on the deputy then. Some of them get annoyed if you do it prior to them letting you know. Maybe just incase if you get denied and spend money that goes to waste.

Today is the 4th week since the CCW unit received my training certificate. Wonder if I can get the pickup call this week.

Nothing negative. If anything the comments were positive. My deputy was super cool. She told me the next step was lcescqn at which point I told her I already did it and I handed her the livescan and training paperwork. She said great, that should put you at the top of the pile. Whatever that means.

I guess. I think she's the only one that does the interviews at the Monterey Park/Sherman Block location but I could be wrong.
Yup they emailed the next morning saying:
"Your completed Shooting Proficiency form and certificate of completion have been received. You will be contacted when your file has been approved and we are ready to issue your license. The approximate wait time for this last step of the process could be up to four (4) weeks. Please do not ask for an update before then."

I decided to not do anything pre-emptively this time around, at least until SCOTUS comes up with something

Exactly, around $130 for livescan and depending on training place, could go as high as $350+

I wouldn’t do livescan until your interview date is confirmed and you’re at least 99% sure you have a good enough GC and have all the documentation (letter from employer, paystub, etc. the deputy even told me to send her a picture of the equipment I transport). I did my livescan on the same day I got the call for the interview and did the training about a week later. You can do the training after they instruct you to do so just to be on the safe side and save yourself $150+. Unless of course you have some extra cash laying around under the mattress lol

If I had known live scan was taking 7 to 8 weeks to complete, I would have done it ahead of my interview. I'm in my 4th week of waiting for the firearms portion to clear. I completely regret not doing the live scan earlier.
