I live in Granada Hills, falls under LAPD jurisdiction. From what I can tell by reading this whole thread, some time late April LAPD signed the MOU with LASD.

Just don't want to wash my time with LAPD. Thanks in advance for any confirmation.

I can confirm. Apply directly with LASD.

You can be 100% sure. All the people getting their permits now did not go through LAPD first.

Greetings. In LA County, is there a sheriff's station or office that is considered the best place to submit a new application? Apologies if this info is already posted on this thread....

Also, if I had a concealed carry permit in another state (CT) 20 years ago, is that worth noting on the application where it asks if you've ever had a CCW? Any informed opinions much appreciated.

The best place is to deliver in person or mail to the downtown Hall of Justice.

Disclosing any prior permits is not only a good idea, it is required. All those sections on the application are mandatory, not optional.

                        @ Papa Zulu,

A certified mail via USPS is a fine way to submit your application.
You should mention your past CCW from every jurisdiction in America.

                        Wish you luck!

I will begin to sell Reelect AV lawn signs after the holidays.

They will be $450 each. The proceeds will not be going to AV's campaign.

Please DM me to place your order. Minimum of 10 units per order. Thanks.
