That might complicate the process. Even though there aren't a lot of guns on the roster I think the best guns are the S & W Shield, Glock 36, Glock 19, & Bersa Firestorm.

These are in my opinion, I'm sure there is a lot of guns available for concealed carry.

Anything from a 9mm to a 45acp. I wouldn't suggest a 22lr lol.

Is there a Minimum/Maximum caliber requirement in LACo? I know some IA's have them. Looked but didn't find any on LASD CCW site.

I heard they won't approve you if you try to put that 22lr/45-70 derringer on your permit.

I wouldn't call or email them. Suck it up!

• The LT may have not assigned your application to a Detective yet or they're still reviewing your App and GC.
• The Detectives all have different CCW applicants that take varying amounts of time to investigate and their current work loads may differ for each of the Detectives.
• It just shows that you have a lack of patience for the CCW process. May show them a little about your 'character', that is not desirable.

Just wait patiently for your call IMHO.

The wait times are only going to get longer for everyone as the pile of CCW applicants is growing faster than they can process them with their small CCW unit.

Wow I’m early April and I’m still waiting for the ok to go to training…? I’ve been one patient dude. Seeing mid April guys already ahead of me isn’t helping lol. Although I’m glad for all u guys that are pushing forward. Instead of emailing I was thinking I could call the detective who interviewed me June 8th. Tomorrow will be 8 wks. He did say to reach out of it goes passed 8wks but what if he forgot about telling me that? Lol this is brutal…
