Livescan with firearms portion completed on 5/18. How long does it take for LASD to contact you to proceed with training? Is it phone call or via email?

Email! What I did was emailed them the day it cleared, saying that it completed and included my ATI number as well

I sent it to the original deputy and he responded to send it to CCW_Unit.

So people were called on Tuesday to pick up. Did anyone get a call for the interview? My buddy is dying waiting for the call. My brother is in the same boat. He has not received any calls neither. His app was delivered on the same day April 9th.

I feel for your buddy and brother. I would say I'm in the same boat but I think my boat is sinking...

Send it to the CCW_Unit they respond quicker, and the investigators are worrying about the incoming batch.

04/30/2021 Application and check sent to Hall of Justice on Temple Street via UPS express letter.

05/03/2021 Application received and signed for at Hall of Justice.

06/03/2021 Check cashed.

I will update as things progress.

A very special thanks to Paladin for all the time spent organizing and providing information that encouraged me to seek out a CCW.

I never thought a CCW possible in Santa Clarita, but heard from someone who heard from someone that I should check out Calguns.net for more information. After reading the immense volume of information provided here I was encouraged to give it a shot. Thanks to all who contributed.

Curious - where are the absolute no go's for LA County ccw? Guessing school zones, universities, government buildings, any establishment that serves alcohol? Any others? If LA receives enough ccw, will it become like a Texas where businesses can have no gun signs and ccw is forbidden? Or is this not really a thing in places like San Bernardino, Ventura, etc? I have never really noticed or paid enough attention in the little time I have spent in other counties.

Just thought I'd bring it up as we all wait.

No firearms in Federal buildings. ie Post Office, Court House.
You CAN carry at a restaurant that serves alcohol. But you CANNOT carry to let's say a bar or where their main source of revenue is alcohol.
BAC Limit 0.00% while CCWing. Driving as a reference is 0.08%.
If a business has a "no firearms" sign, you can still carry, but if they find out you're carrying and you're asked to leave, and don't then you're trespassing.
