CCW Proof of Residency Question

Hello, new gun owner here interested in applying for a CCW soon. I tried calling LASD for an answer and the person on the phone was unsure of the answer so here I am now. For a CCW application in LA County. I'm aware you need a utility bill as your proof of residency. My only question is does the utility bill need to have my name on it or can it be someone else like my fathers name? Thank you in advance.

I believe it has to be in your name in order to prove you live there. There are other forms of proof that can be used however such as other bills, bank statements, car registration, etc.

I really hope that means they are trying to clear the backlog of post-interview people before starting to process more new applicants, and not that Villanueva is nervous about how many people are getting permits and is telling them to slow it down.

There are many ways to prove your residency, what did you use to prove your residency when you bought your Glock 17?

I used my car's registration as proof of residency when I purchased my Glock 19 as my driver's license had my old address on it. When I submit my app for a CCW I will bring my car's registration and a copy of a bank statement just in case then as the other member stated that should work also.
