Am I doing this all wrong?

No longer needed, go straight to LASD app

LASD as of first week of April no longer requires a denial letter from LAPD.

Just call and cancel your interview. Send your application to LASD.

Screw LAPD. LOL. They are a lost cause for 2A movement. As a former LEO, LAPD's policy sickens me.

Population of L.A. county is 10.1 million. When Alex took office 2.5 years ago there were 220 CCW holders. Now as of last week it is till under 500 .In OC in 2014 Hutchens issued 700 CCW's in 6 months for a population under 4 million. If you think the LASD is really making a genuine effort to give the citizens CCW's , well the numbers don't show it.

100k x30= not money allocated to them by the county but money that goes straight to who knows where .

I think to be fair, the relevant time period is not really 2.5 years but just a few months since the policy change, and just a week or two since it has been publicly announced. I think the real test will be the next 6 months or so when the avalanche of applications really hits and we see how he deals with that.

Where is your source? This is the type of FUD that will scare others away from people applying and we don't need this.

As of the Facebook Live that Sheriff Villanueva did early May, I quote "issued 717 to date 430 pending issue, so we’re well over a thousand now total, we received 2486 applications”

If there were 220 like you stated and he had over 1000 issued by end of May, (NOT INCLUDING more of the applications that went into pending status), then your numbers are wrong.

This does not even include mine, in which I will be picking up in a couple days. So i'm sure that he's far exceeding your 600 issued within 6 months mark.

FUD is the main reason why people are not applying, because of how skeptical they are of the process.

She was appointed in 2008, elected in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. So it took her 6 years to get to that 700 number, after a battle with the BOS, because she wasn’t issuing.

So let’s revisit this around August or September, after Alex V has been issuing for 6 months, and see where the number of LA County permits are.

Also, everyone waiting for a call for ccw license pickup, they called me at 1830 sharp, which is surprisingly late, so keep an eye out.

Not sure if this is isolated to the license pickup or interview calls too.

And yet now, OC is 30k+ issued. In time, especially now with the “defund the police” movement.

They just get the results via email in an inbox from the DOJ. And they check it once a week for completed results and pull up the file/applicant.

IF I WAS RUNNING LASD, and I don't, but if some applicant showed up to my interview. Has his ducks in order ie Good GC, no criminal history, has all his training certs, has livescan results delivered to me by the DOJ 2 weeks ago.

BROTHER FULL SEND. That was the easiest interview ever. Gotta get your application to AV's desk to review and I'll call you to pick up your license.

That again, is if I'm running CCW_UNIT. But even if somehow they do have a magic computer that turns on "livescan results for localpew" and they dont recognize your advanced results, you're out $120. Full send it and go do it again. Worth a shot. Takes me all day to make a $120.

I don't think livescan results differ that much from the beginning of June than to the end of June. But again, just an idiot on Calguns typing.
