I have a question for those who have applied to LASD already. It is slightly confusing in that in the application it says to not complete section 7 until you are at the interview. But in the LASD website it says "The applicant will thoroughly Complete Sections 1-8,INCLUDING SECTION 7 and Sign Pages 3, 8, and 11, of the Department of Justice Standard Application."
Then there is a note that says not to complete section 7 until told to do so. So I am guessing do NOT fill out section 7?"Longevity remains a key characteristic of firearms- they last a long time, which means many of them will change hands." Tom GreshamComment

I didnt see this posted, but if it was, I apologize for the Dupe...
I just watched Villanueva's FB live broadcast from April 1st. He stated 1759 applications, 585 issued, 320 pending. Stats on 3/17 were 1556 apps, 517 issued.
+68 permits issued since his broadcast on 3/17. Slowly, but surely.Quest for LA CCW

DOJ requires you not to fill out section 7 but CCW unit requires you to have it done before the interview to even have a call back.Comment

IMO from this point forward will be telling. The application process has been streamlined.
Do CGNers get issued for Light Green? If so, the CCW Unit will need more personnel and resources to handle the demand.

OK. Have my application filled out, printed and signed. About to mail it out.
Did you guys send all 13th pages of the application or did you omit the first 2 pages that describe the process?Comment

I just included everything, filled out all the sections the LASD site says you have to fill out (including section 5 and 7), and all three signature boxes within the application.Comment
