Reminds me of the old joke about the definition of a Conservative is a Liberal who has been mugged.
I wish today's liberals could understand: You cannot be generous by giving away other peoples' money and you cannot demonstrate your virtue by your willingness to give up other peoples' rights.

Got the call for pick-up late morning. Set for Wednesday in Monterrey Park, Sherman Block building.

Deputy specified cashier’s check or money order. Also requested a copy of my new passport, since the old one expired yesterday. They are on top of the details.

Release for training email received 11/17, credentials sent back 11/18. Never got an acknowledgment that they’d received my training credentials. Was toying with checking in to confirm, but decided to just wait patiently.

Or email a follow up asking if I should complete the class at this time due to the influx of applications and classes filing up

That's an interesting question. There is one circumstance where I think you are probably safe. If you have the permission of the owner, I think you are covered. I believe a property owner can give you permission to carry on his property. I doubt that extends to the front yard however. I would really get advice from a lawyer on this one before you try it.

I have done some additional research and while it is too complicated to explain here, I no longer think your exception will work. This is definitely lawyer territory.
