Any harm in submitting an additional application to LAPD in parallel now that they are accepting? My application with LASD would have an approximate 220 day head start, but at this rate it may get through LAPD faster, even if they already have about 700 applications in already.

Nice! I just did my interview yesterday. I was expecting scenario based questions but it was all yes/no questions and why I wanted a ccw.

From what I understand, the Livescan operator sends the information over to the Sheriffs as there’s a specific code they input. My deputy said that after I do the Livescan it’s just a waiting game from there.

When you were asked why you wanted a CCW....what was your answer you gave them??...if you mind sharing with us..

I just said that I wanted it for self-defense as I’m in real estate. We work with investors and commercial buyers which often requires us to view vacant properties, and we don’t know if anyone has been squatting there that would have nefarious intent.

I could be wrong, but based on how I observed my deputy, the question was more to gauge my GMC. Despite Bruen, I wanted to be ultra-prepared but he didn’t ask anything further after my response. We just went right into the yes/no questions.

Great answer...get your Live scan done A.S.A.P...and check on the atty Gen website to make sure your fingerprints properly cleared as well...on DOJ, FBI and Firearms ..with your ATI number that will be given to you on your Lives can sheet once your fingerprints have been submitted.

all 3 will complete (some day) and then it goes to LASD electronically.

I just did my livescan this morning. The site shows CA, FBI and Firearms, no DOJ section. Is the CA section DOJ?

Yes....CA is DOJ...which is short for dept. Of justice

I wonder why they are still asking why you want it since they can no longer deny you based or your reason or lack thereof.
