Just got the call! Going to pick up tomorrow! All in all the process too over a year, interview was last August but that's not to lay the blame. DO NOT DO YOUR TRAINING THROUGH CAPS ARMORY. I got the go ahead for training back in November. I specifically asked them if they handled everything to which they stated yes they would send in the results from the training. After not hearing from the LASD Ccw unit for almost 9 months I contacted them and found out that my results were never submitted. Called Caps and they stated they never said they would submit results. I got my results emailed to ccw unit and on the same day they stated a 4 week wait until final processing. It took 6 but hey after wasting 9 months of time an extra two weeks didn't matter.

Feb 2022 - got call for interview, completed live scan same day

July 2022 - proceed to training

August 1st - training and certification received

Today, 9/26, got the call. Picking up on 9/28

How long does it typically take you guys to receive confirmation that the department received your training docs? I’ve seen a couple guys who said they received a confirmation email the next day.. I haven’t heard anything back after sending mine in last week…

Do you know if LASD is still sending out the "training docs received" confirmation? I sent them last week also but have not received any confirmation yet.

Wow just thought I would pop in here to look around and things have changed so much. I thought mine took long at 7.5 months but now you guys are waiting double that time. Crazy. Hang in there it's nice knowing you can protect yourself in public in these crazy times. Only bit of advice is list the guns on the your permit that you would actually carry. I made the mistake of listing bigger heavier pistols that now I wouldn't carry at all. My 229 has never been carried and my 320 has only been carried a couple of times. 365xl is my edc. I bought the short slide for summer and will just switch back to long slide for winter. Should have listed my shield and another 365. I rarely carry the spare mag unless I'm going into some really bad areas which I tend to avoid anyways.

I don't think they send out confirmation of receipt anymore for training docs. The current "proceed to training email" seems to emphasize not contacting them at all for updates. I mean, BOLD letters, like they're annoyed with hundreds/thousands of emails per day probably.

But at least now they give a timeline of 4 weeks processing from date of submitting training docs.

lol, so many of us got that 2-4 weeks email and got the call in week 6 1/2.

i got one after i submitted my docs the next day that was 2 weeks ago

On the 4 week mark from the date livescan was completed. It seems like its around 6 weeks for everyone til you get the "proceed with training" email. Still waiting

I did not receive a confirmation email, but am with Troy, I don't think they send those out anymore
