Picked up this morning, few others there picking up as well.

I sent in my AZ paperwork and had my CCW in hand about 10 days later. $60 valid 5 years.

LASD is littered with inefficiency and absorbent costs from start to finish. Took almost as long to get as it’s validity.

When the unhappy deputy handed over my CCW with included letter from the Sheriff it states this CCW is a privilege.

The CCW is created on the spot so issue date is the pickup date. 2 full years no loss there.

For those of us who applied and were not denied yet that needed GC, can we get our livescan done?

He did not answer that in any Q&A. But, I was told and given the live scan form to go do it when my interview was done.

I was not told to get my live scan done, as they needed extra documentation for my GC. Is it ok to use the one on the LASD site?

I'm glad you also have your Arizona one too..
.smart move ...it appears from others that's the main non resident CCW to get...if you can, apply for Utah and Florida too..if you haven't done so already.

Fantastic. I am going to go ahead with the live scan to get that in and hopefully no more delays. As expected, no updated from the deputy who I interviewed with when I emailed them.

I used ShootSafe Academy in SoCal for my CCW training. They’re authorized to certify AZ, UT and FL. For an additional 100$ fee they provide the Utah, AZ, and FL certification and CCW docs. They also do the fingerprints during the class. Send you home with everything ready to mail out except you’ll need a passport style picture for the Utah app. I didn’t bother with the FL, just did the AZ and UT.

BTW they charge $275 for the CA class. I called most on the list, got quotes anywhere from $100-500. Went with ShootSafe due to scheduling and logistics.
