    I need a LIFE!!

I love when people mention lawsuits.

Maybe 36 months to get a case to trial and $150k as a starting point
Rule 1- ALL GUNS ARE ALWAYS LOADED

Rule 2 -NEVER LET THE MUZZLE COVER ANYTHING YOU ARE NOT PREPARED TO DESTROY (including your hands and legs)

Rule 3 -KEEP YOUR FINGER OFF THE TRIGGER UNTIL YOUR SIGHTS ARE ON THE TARGET

Rule 4 -BE SURE OF YOUR TARGET AND WHAT IS BEYOND IT
    (thanks to Jeff Cooper)

WAIT A FREAK'N MINUTE I seem to remember someone here on CG, saying that V said, that Bonta's aunt's, hairdresser's cousin said, she heard someone say, that V will no longer accept direct apps from incorporated cities. And all new apps from incorporated cities will AGAIN require a prior denial from City PD CoP.

Or was that just another rumor?

Yes, but liberty isn't cheap. Legal 2A advocates have for seen what is happening in the wake of Bruen.

Drafts of these suits have been prepped and just waiting to Bslap the leftists with. Knowing full well the crap they would pull.

Now that "THT" is DONE DEAL. A quick preliminary injunction in all 2A cases is pretty much a foregone conclusion in OUR favor. Making those months as if the law never passed because they are enjoined.

LAPD isn't responding to me and LASD hasn't responded either. I went to the station and asked the deputy and she didn't know the answer either. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.
Welcome to LA county. I'm not sure if there are any articles that would serve as a concrete citation, but it is well-known including as stated here (if you have a few hours on a weekend, or more, read through this thread starting around Jan 2021 or so) that you don't need to apply to LAPD first. I wouldn't expect just any LASD deputy to understand that nuance, but if you happened to run into one of the guys in the CCW unit, they'd for sure tell you the same thing.

Can you carry loaded with CCW? I was told it needs to be unloaded and also still need to transport in locked box in car. It is true?

              @busa
Incorrect you can carry loaded with a permit. And that makes no sense you can carry out in public but the second you get in YOUR car it has to go in a lock box.
The answer to both questions is
You CAN carry loaded and no it doesn't need to be transported in a locked box

What the hell happened to this site? It sounds like a episode of the View or the Jerry Springer show. I Come here to get information on Lasd ccw process not to hear the bitching and moaning on the definition of a rumor.

Lol, it's hilarious. Before the ruling 95% of the people applying were really serious. After the ruling, there has been mostly dumb questions. People aren't researching before applying. Asking if you can carry loaded if you have a CCW for example or what kind of guns they can carry. It's common sense..... Majority of these answers are found on the LASD CCW FAQ..... People are getting lazy to research and want to be spoon fed.

I hope you're not being serious lol. That only applies if you do not have a CCW in CA. What's the point of a CCW if you cannot carry the gun and it has to be locked in your car while being transported? The last thing you want is someone spotting you holstering your weapon and they call the police on you while gettign out of your car.

New people please spend time going back one year on this sight. There really are dumb questions that folks like Soony Hostin, Joy Reid and Woppy Goldstien would ask. When it happens it embarrasses all of us. Best to get a Dillon 550 progressive reloading press and shoot for 6-10 months while waiting for your place in queue.

REALISTICALLY! This thread is 11 1/2 yrs old. 12,380 posts long. And now after BRUEN is moving at WARP SPEED.

How long do you think your advice will be visible on the top page?

MEMBERS PLEASE TONE DOWN THE HUBRIS

GEEEESH. Is there a definitive difference between a DUMB QUESTION. And 1 honestly asked out of ignorance on a subject?

"THE ONLY DUMB QUESTION, IS THE ONE THAT WENT UNASKED". <<<<< WISDOM

If you don't want to respond, to what you consider, a DUMB QUESTION. THEN DON'T.

Chatsworth12345 Has been here all of 2 DAYS. And asked 2 Questions.

WAY TO GO making Noobs feel welcome.

A GREAT MANY CITIZENS never had any hope of getting a CCW. And wanted one strictly for defensive reasons.

                              WITH THE BRUEN DECISION.

YEAH, lots of Noobs are going to come here as the TOP PICK on SEARCH ENGINES. And lots of "IGNORANT" questions are going to be asked.

We as CalGunners can graciously welcome them. HELPFULLY Answer their questions. And direct them to threads, and Topics that contain what they are looking for to quell their curiosity.

OR BE DICK'S that vilify noobs for being less informed than THEY are.

And NO, I do not expect this post to be on top page of this thread for long.

I ONLY HOPE, that members in the here and now, that do read it. In the future ask themselves if they WANT TO BE HELPFULL AND WELCOMING OF NOOBS, OR DICKS!

That confirmation stops at least one of the DUMB RUMORS being circulated.
