He just said "Shall Issue" In short, AV says the Supreme court decision will speed up the process.

well, hell has frozen over. Now we just need to know what kinda crap Bonta/Newsome are going to try. Luckily, I really do not go out that much and just kinda stick to going to work/basic needs. So going to parks, concerts, beaches is really not an issue for me personally.

Now we just need to ensure that he wins re-election...

Still waiting for the LiveScan to clear and my DD214 copy request to process.

I'm really not that shocked. I always felt like all he needed was a good excuse, he was slowly moving in that direction already, and he now has it.

          Good for LA County!

Does anyone think applying w/ local PD is a better option than submitting to LASD at this juncture? Villanueva did mention pooling resources from local departments, but also mentioned having local PD handle everything to take off the load from LASD.. a bit confusing.

What if you already submitted to LASD but are probably within the 10-12 month backlog of applicants?

Guess that depends on if your PD is issuing or against the process. If against, you will probably find roadblocks. We know that current LAPD AV is an issuing Sherriff.

You can likely buy either used, but you'll pay more for them. Its not difficult to get off roster guns, just expensive. Unless AV has a specific rule about carrying an off roster gun, that shouldn't be a roadblock either.

I'm also one of the LG applicants that got denied for lack of good cause. Received my denial letter in March 2022. Time to submit a new one?
