Question about the ammendment process. Per the LASD website they are not accepting requests to add/remove. You have to wait until renewal (2years?) I never thought this opportunity would come so never considered a small concealable handgun. Should I submit the application now and hope they change their policy or should i get my preferred ccw gun now then submit? I'm torn...

I would get the gun you want to carry now. Looking at how long it is taking to even issue, I do not think they will take on any additional administrative tasks anytime soon.
